RECTANGLE POOLS

Rectangle pools are a timeless choice that exudes elegance and practicality. With clean lines and a classic shape, these pools offer a sense of symmetry and balance that can enhance any outdoor space. Their rectangular design allows for efficient use of space, making them ideal for both large and small areas. Whether you're looking to relax and cool off during the scorching summer months or host lively poolside gatherings, a rectangle pool offers ample space for swimming, sunbathing, and entertainment. Additionally, their straightforward layout makes maintenance a breeze, ensuring that you can spend more time enjoying your pool and less time fussing over upkeep. Whether you prefer a modern minimalist aesthetic or a more traditional style, a rectangle pool is a versatile option that combines both functionality and beauty.

TRADITIONAL FREEFORM

The first freeform pools were built in California, which dominated residential pool design in the 20th century. One was built for Pickfair, the Los Angeles estate owned by actors and Hollywood power couple Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks.

Built in 1920, it was constructed above a 100-foot banana-shaped tank and featured a sandy shore along one side. The other was built by Pascal Paddock (of Paddock Pool fame) and featured poolside landscaping to give the feeling of a natural pool or pond.

KIDNEY SHAPED POOLS

Kidney-shaped pools are popular freeform pools that are rounded on each end, curving inward along one side. Kidney-shaped pools offer a sleek, contemporary feel and their asymmetrical shape fits easily into smaller spaces without sacrificing style.

  • Design Benefits: Modern kidney-shaped pools blend the functionality of a traditional lap pool, with the sleek styling of a freeform pool

  • Common Features: Kidney-shaped pools can include swim up seating, and slip resistant steps

  • Considerations: Kidney-shaped swimming pool designs include flexible sizes, which can be great for smaller yards

SPAS AND LEDGES

A fiberglass pool and spa are more than an attractive complement to your home. A pool with a spillover hot tub is an opportunity to recharge and refresh in the comfort of your backyard. A soothing soak in your personal spa or a refreshing dip in your pool’s cooling waters will be within effortless reach. The beauty and sound of the cascading water as it flows from the spa to the pool allows you to enjoy your pool and spa, whether you’re relaxing in it or lounging beside it.
